Having tramped the heights of the Lakeland fells last year, the first jaunt this year was to the sunny seaside in south Scotland. The intrepid party took advantage of the tremendous weather to cross from Kippford to Rough Island across the causeway exposed by the falling tide. The trip was completed by walking across the exposed sand flats back to the beach at Rockcliffe - a decision no doubt influenced by the earlier lunch and drinks at the Anchor Inn!
